Well today is Blackberry Storm day and the lines at Verizon stores are long. So I ordered my Storm online for overnight delivery.

TiVo here I come!
Well after several years with Sony's DHG-HDD500 I sold them and purchased a Tivo Series 3 DVR....now....I wait for the SDV tuning adapter...so I can watch the channels I pay for...

Blackberry Curve 8330 for Verizon
Well I just couldn't resist... I had to try out the new BB Curve for Verizon and well it shines...it's not an iphone....but it still put my Treo 700p to shame...no more reboots....heck...email galore...but true HTML browsing is not on this baby...waiting for the THUNDER!

Toshiba throws in the towel on HD-DVD
Well the fat lady sung...news from the far off lands of Japan are reporting that Toshiba is terminating production of all HD-DVD players and writing off it's loses...so...another paperweight to the basement land of forgotten electronics...

Ahh....HD-DVD...got it right the first time...but content always wins...
Many have asked why a geek like me would go with HD-DVD instead of Blu-ray.
My decision was based solely on hardware features and the DVD Consortium that put together HD-DVD made it more future proof with internet access from the get go.
Something, Sony is just starting to incorporate into their players but with one very big fine print...the new Blu-Ray profile 2 which makes ethernet mandatory on the player wouldn’t be fully compatible with players that were profile 1 and 1.1.
So...now with Blu-Ray winning the studios over...I wait...for profile 2 players...

Well 2008 started me off with Windows Mobile 6 and the verizon xv6800 pda phone. All I can say...wow...look how far we've come!
Technology keeps advancing....look at the iphone (too bad it's AT&T only--but thats only for 2 more years)...anyways...this baby rocks!
Gadgets make me smile...now if only we could get them to work the way we want them to...hmm the great developers at xda-developers.com have the goodies...headover...and join the revolution!
